Lucas

A friend commissioned this painting of her grandson, Lucas. She wanted the dog and the wagon as they had special meaning in the family too! She handed me 4 or 5 photos and I came up with this little painting in an  old time style. What a beautiful smile this little blue eyed boy has! 12 x 9 oil on linen panel.

Strolling Through The Water

I did a postcard sketch of this point at Guanaja Island last year. This is a studio painting of that same spot, but this time I wanted to add a figure. I thought the young woman added a nice feel to an already beautiful place.  It's easier to see ourselves there now. 9 x 12" Linen on panel

The Flutist

I have two beautiful models and this is one of them. Alyssa posed for this painting and it took a while to finish it. It's rather large, 24 x 36".  I can't help myself, I know there is a lot of modern work out there but I love, love, love romantic settings! I really long for a time of unhurried, peaceful days where we can really contemplate the beauty around us.

Shucking Corn Study

I was inspired to paint this from one of our Bible based publications' photograph on families working together. I'm hoping to do a large version of this with a big sky.  This is a little 6 x 12" oil on stretched linen. NFS
