Two Apples and A Cherry

I worked this still life with a different approach. I started with an under painting with transparent earth red and ultramarine blue concentrating only on values. I then slowly worked into brighter colors and purposefully worked towards a fresh approach, not focusing on a photographic replica, but a painterly finish. 9 x 12" linen panel. Strolling Through The Water

I did a postcard sketch of this point at Guanaja Island last year. This is a studio painting of that same spot, but this time I wanted to add a figure. I thought the young woman added a nice feel to an already beautiful place.  It's easier to see ourselves there now. 9 x 12" Linen on panel
