This Study was painted after Kaity and Josiah sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers that were screaming to be painted. I enjoyed them even more as I worked on getting the intense red color.

A Precious Moment in Time
I would consider this another paradise earth scene. It depicts my favorite things - horses and the ocean. I see myself as that girl walking the beach...18 x 24". $375
White Poppies
I love painting from life. I set up this still life from objects in my home and painted in a dark room with only the light on the still life. It's a little challenging to paint in the dark, but it helped me get the dramatic effect. 24 x 18" Oil on Stretched Cotton. $375
Peonies For Kimberly
My friend and supporter asked me to paint this painting after seeing a previous tiny commission of the same piece. I changed the flowers a little, so it would be different from the one that was sold a couple of years ago. She needed this very specific size, so I painted it on linen and she will have it framed to suit her needs for her home. 19" x 16" Oil
Ella, Ella, Ella, Let's Go!
It's been too long since I've blogged. I'm not doing my homework! The next 5 posts are from the past couple of months of painting. This painting is my first real attempt at a paradise earth representation. It illustrates the promise of people being at peace with animals. Wouldn't it be wonderful to ride an elephant? Oil on Stretched Linen Canvas, 28 x 24". Framed size: 29 x 25" $590
